Thank you for these wonderful thoughts. They confirm a discussion I had with my sister in Christ last night! May God continue to bless you with love and wisdom as you pursue this topic, and share with us!Savedsis said:IF your life bears some fruit, God will intervene to prune you....If necessary, He will risk your misunderstanding of His methods and motives..His purpose is for you to cut away immature commitments and lesser priorities to make room for even greater abundance for His glory...
Pruning is how God answers your prayers that your life will please Him more and have a greater impact for eternity...
THe principle of pruning invites a revealing question about your spiritual life: Are you praying for God's superabundant blessings and pleading that He will make you more like His Son?
If your answer is yes, then you are asking for the shears..
Now let's be honest...pruning is cutting and cutting hurts...Sounds like a lot like being disciplined, doesn't it?
No wonder most Christians have trouble distinquishing between dicipline and pruning in their lives. It all feels the same...but it isn't..
THey are two different things.....Dicipline is about sin....pruning is about self...
Ask the Lord to help you with the difference...
Pray about it...
Your Heavenly Father loves you so much that He won't stop tending your life..The most fruitful and the most Joy-filled Christians are the most pruned Christians...This pruning is so deep and so interesting......I am reading about it now...
There are no words that are sufficient, so will just let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.Pilgrim1951 said:Just wanted to share with all of you precious ladies, my Sam went home to the Lord last night. I don't know what else to say, I truly am a little numb and distraught (if that makes any sense) right now.

You are in my prayers. I can't know how you feel, can only suspect; but I know that God does, and my prayers for you will continue. God loves you and so do we! May you find shelter under His wings, and comfort from the fellowship here of loyal prayer warriors.Pilgrim1951 said:Just wanted to share with all of you precious ladies, my Sam went home to the Lord last night. Pilgrim1951 said:Thank you and bless you all so much. I could feel the power of your prayers this afternoon. The Lord was able to get through my veil of sorrow to comfort and minister to me. I am so grateful for my precious sisters in Christ. Any time I start to wonder if God can possibly apply balm to a deep and ragged cut in my heart, He does so and I am revived. Our Lord is so awesome. I am only beginning to learn of His grace and mercy. You ladies and others in the body of Christ are the fullfillment of Jesus' prophecy: "By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."
