IF your life bears some fruit, God will intervene to prune you....If necessary, He will risk your misunderstanding of His methods and motives..His purpose is for you to cut away immature commitments and lesser priorities to make room for even greater abundance for His glory...
Pruning is how God answers your prayers that your life will please Him more and have a greater impact for eternity...
THe principle of pruning invites a revealing question about your spiritual life: Are you praying for God's superabundant blessings and pleading that He will make you more like His Son?
If your answer is yes, then you are asking for the shears..
Now let's be honest...pruning is cutting and cutting hurts...Sounds like a lot like being disciplined, doesn't it?
No wonder most Christians have trouble distinquishing between dicipline and pruning in their lives. It all feels the same...but it isn't..
THey are two different things.....Dicipline is about sin....pruning is about self...
Ask the Lord to help you with the difference...
Pray about it...
Your Heavenly Father loves you so much that He won't stop tending your life..The most fruitful and the most Joy-filled Christians are the most pruned Christians...This pruning is so deep and so interesting......I am reading about it now...

Just wanted to share with all of you precious ladies, my Sam went home to the Lord last night. I don't know what else to say, I truly am a little numb and distraught (if that makes any sense) right now.
There are no words that are sufficient, so will just let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm lifting you up as we speak. I leave the Holy Spirit to minister as only He can do at a time like this.

Father even when we are speechless and inadequate to meet a need, You are not. You hear the cries of each heart. Jesus Himself grieved at the loss of His friend and He wept. It is sooo like You to understand a grieving heart and to minister in ways that we cannot fathom. Do so now and meet each need that Pilgrim has as she grieves the loss of Sam. Carry her through this time and send Your ministering angels to her and Your children to surround her and bless and build a circle of warmth and support, in the name of Your only begotten Son, amen.

Brenda

You are in my prayers. I can't know how you feel, can only suspect; but I know that God does, and my prayers for you will continue. God loves you and so do we! May you find shelter under His wings, and comfort from the fellowship here of loyal prayer warriors.

Thank you and bless you all so much. I could feel the power of your prayers this afternoon. The Lord was able to get through my veil of sorrow to comfort and minister to me. I am so grateful for my precious sisters in Christ. Any time I start to wonder if God can possibly apply balm to a deep and ragged cut in my heart, He does so and I am revived. Our Lord is so awesome. I am only beginning to learn of His grace and mercy. You ladies and others in the body of Christ are the fullfillment of Jesus' prophecy: "By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

Dear God Lift up Pilgrim1951. Lord I know the sorrow is thick but Your love can penetrate it..
Your grace is too great for us to fathom...Only You know how much she and her family need Your help..Have mercy on her Lord...Strengthen and keep her in her time of need, give her grace during this time....be her brother and high priest while she in in this sad and weary place in her life..May she continue to remember the truth...The best place to go is to You Lord...Take her in Your arms and hear her cry....Amen...

I can sooooooo relate to this. Misunderstanding God so many times and neglecting to 'be still and just know that He is God' during those pruning times. Your words are such a blessing. God bless you!

Lifting you up dear heart to the One Who is the Lifter of our heads, Who knows that grief is sooooo real and that losses of loved ones are excruciatingly searing, and is beyond description and then some.

Father I lift Pilgrim to You, our Abba, our Papa, our Comforter, our Shepherd, our Counselor, the Lifter of our heads, our Healer. Meet her deepest of needs, as only YOu can do. We may be at a loss for words, but YOu are never at a loss, for YOu see deep into the recesses of our hearts. I lift Pilgrim along with with everyone else, to You, our Abba, in the name of Your only begotten Son, amen.
