  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Do you have Wisdom to share? A hand to lend? Or in our area and would like to attend? I pray you will respond to one of those 3 questions. For our growth, to God's Glory

Doxa Community Church in Renton, Washington

A group of us in Washington state were led to plant a church in the city of Renton 2 1/2 years ago. This has brought many trials and tests but has proven to be a huge blessing as the core members as a whole have grown tremendously.

The hardest part is a continual reminder that you're on mission. The life of your Church is by sharing the Gospel. I have found myself getting so caught up in every day life that the mission is lost. I moved here, married the love of my life, and will now serve here until I die or God calls me elsewhere.

Reminders. If not from the Holy Spirit, from your brothers on mission with you. If Christ has called you on this mission those reminders will come, and will draw you back to Him.

Finances. Boy oh boy, you never really appreciate what you have until it's gone. Our church is operating on a tithe that can only pay for rent. If we have a bad tithe month, though the core team is faithful, we wouldn't be able to afford our tiny old Amway office building. 900 sq ft. Though small, a huge blessing as we were meeting in a house for 2 years. This also draws us back to Christ.
Oh how I would love our preaching Pastor to get paid from the Church so he wouldn't have to wear himself thin working 45 hours a week at his other job(providing for his family).

Please pray for our small Church as we seek to see our community come to know and serve Jesus

Continue serving the people in Jesus' name, "baptizing disciples into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."

Keep your church focused on the truths of God, as revealed in the Bible. Look for joy even in the hardest of times (For you have the Spirit of God working with you and through you for the Kingdom of God). Reach out to the community in love, prayer, and obedience with God.

Congratulations and stay active and radical for Christ!
