Except that this movie is a direct throwback to the "old days"

There are plenty of films with good plots and morals, Grindhouse is a homage to the trashy B movies of yesteryear.

Anyways, I'm seeing it Saturday.

A homage to Exploitation films, actually. They often get mixed up with b-films. There's a diffrence.

Well, I lump them all into a broad category, but technically, yeah, you're right.

I say 'B' movie because one half of the film is a zombie film, and when I think zombie film I think classic Romero. and when I think classic Romero I think low budget, and when i think low budget I think 'B' movie. And I'm a huge fan of low budget horror, and much of that kind of fll into both the 'B' movie envelope, as well as exploitation.

At either rate, I'm really excited to see this...I'm going tommorrow.

I hope it runs till the end of April, cause that's probably the soonest I'll be able to see it.

Speaking of grindhouse cinema, anyone have any reccomendations for movies of that genre I should check out?

I just got back from seeing it. BRILLIANTLY done. I haven't had that much fun at the movies in a long time. GO SEE IT!

I saw it last night and it was amazing.
Great audience at my viewing, too.

Seriously, I can't wait for the DVD release.

Both full lengths were great... the Zombie flick of Rodriguez and the car stalker of Tarantino. The ending of Death Proof was... well, the whole theater was cheering.

funny that you should mention gone in the wind. a film which advocates rape, war, and violence against women while trying to compair it favoribly to any other film. amussing i'd say. can't wait to see this one. i love a good genre film

the character who was raped and slaped around "falls in love" with the man who does it. plus he's "the romanic hero" because as we all know romantic heros love to rape
