I just found out that my mom has passed away today. Though I had shared the gospel message with her and have prayed for her salvation, as far as I know, she never accepted Christ. I pray that she did before it was too late

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So sorry for the loss of your mother.
Father God, grant this one peace over his mom's passing. I pray that she received salvation before she passed, even though he doesn't know, in her final moment, she could have called upon You. We hold on to that. I ask that You will give her son peace over his mother's passing, In Jesus Name, Amen

Thank you all for your love and prayers. I have been surprised by one particular thing in all of this. My heart. My mom and I were not that close and truly haven't spoken in years, yet I was taken by surprise at how much grief and sorrow there was in my heart for her. I loved her but didn't express it enough. This has reminded me it's time to wake up. Love those whom God has placed in your life, they may be gone tomorrow

The town my mom lived in has named a local historical museum after her as she had a great deal to do with making it a better museum. That was really nice of them.
