It is not surprising that you would like both Gretchen Wilson and Big and Rich. John Rich co-wrote many of the songs on "Here for the Party".

For some reason, that doesn't surprise me. I'd never thought about how similar their styles were, but yeah, they are.

And the fact that both Gretchen and B & R are very good friends. Both kinda hit it big around the same time .

I must say that I did not like GW when I first heard of her because of the fact that she is associated with Big and Rich. I really don't like Big and Rich, and the artists that are associated with them. However, now that I am actually listening to some of her songs I'm starting to like her music. I love renegade country-Bocephus, Willie, Waylon, etc. As for her lyrics *shrug* I grew up listening to Guns n' Roses so cussin' don't really bother me. Besides, she's not the only country singer to cuss in songs LOL

Listen to her slow stuff. She has the makings of a true classic country singer. She'll still be appreciated when the Faith Hills are forgotten.
