Greetings all and glad to have found the forum.

I'm a brand new Christian in the Toronto area, having been brought up by mostly secular parents and with very few friends and family that are religious in any way (well, other than all still being de-facto christians coasting on the inescapable fumes of Christianity that continue to undergird our civilization - but, I digress ).

My own journey, over the last 10 years or so, went through Joseph Campbell, Jung, and Buddhist/Taoist philosophy, but all roads seemed to point me towards Christianity. Starting on Christmas Day 2021 I've committed myself to Jesus and the faith and haven't looked back. In the spring I've started to attend a conservative-leaning Presbyterian church which is great but perhaps not as exegetically motivated as I'd prefer. Is there a John Piper in Toronto?

Big, continual influences on me are Calvin, Augustine, John Piper, R.C. Sproul, Douglas Wilson, James White, Douglas Moo, Derek Thomas, and many more.

Hoping to meet some new friends and to be able to participate in some good conversation - instead of just me in my study with my books and YouTube videos
