What about Washington, DC? Puerto Rico? Virgin Islands? American Samoa?
The citizens there have been waiting for a long time to have the benefits of statehood.
If Trump wants to acquire a 51st state, he has an ample list to choose from.

I doubt it will become the 51st state. Neither will DC, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, America Samoa, or Guam.

The point of my post is that before we go off trying to acquire more "territories" we have a number of territories filled with people who would like to have the benefits of full citizenship, and as my research showed, there is nothing stopping them from being approved (with the exception of Washington, DC) except for partisan discrimination against it.

Pointing out the obvious is not making accusations. Claiming a territory has not been made a state because of 'partisan discrimination is however - and it is an accusation you cannot provide proof of either.
