Anyone know if there are any decent free / low-cost Greek fonts out on the interwebs?

Windows XP and later already has Greek fonts: Arial, Times New Roman, Palatino Linotype (this one has polytonic characters too), etc. You only need to install the Greek keyboard to be able to write in Greek. St. Anthony's Monastery also offers some: St. Anthony's Greek Orthodox Monastery - Utilities for "Polytonic" Greek

Macarius, if you send me an e-mail address, I can send you a Greek font that is used by academic presses (SPIonic). It comes fully equipped with the diacritical and breathing marks. If I can find it, I will throw in the keyboard map as well.

There are some great fonts and you'll need them when you're studying Ancient Greek

I would personally recommend GentiumAlt. I personally like it because it uses actual circumflexes rather than tildes (~).

That one is good, too. I think the academic press Brill uses GentiumAlt in their publications.
