Levi was not the only one.
Seems you should check out the whole truth.
True.
That is why I used the Ezekial passage,it shows Manasses is Manasses, but Joseph is Ephraim. False gods are in no way, shape or form, good.
Yes, the name Joseph is often used interchangably with the name Ephraim. This is similar to how the Bible interchanges between the name "Jacob" and "Israel." I myself believe that there is probably good reasons for this and that deeper and more full meanings are available therein.
So in the Revelation 7 sealing of the tribes only Joseph and Manasses are mentioned. It is not possible for Joseph's double portion to be made into a triple portion. So the question would be "why is it Ephraim that is missing." The answer lies in many forms. There are only 12 tribes and Ephraim is 13. Ephraim is the fall guy along with those of the tribe of Judah living in his land. This is described quite a bit in Hosea.
I didn't know if you had an interest in these particular ideas in the Bible about the sons of Israel. When they begin to be understood and brought into correspondence with our Chritian European countries traditional religious cultures, revelation shines forth. I wonder what you think of the following;
The four heir sons of Israel each developed their own tribe, their kingdom and thier beast. To begin with Israel's oldest son Reuben would have been the rightful heir to his father's throne. But in Israel's prophesies on his death bed he said that although Reuben was his "firstborn and his might" yet Reuben would "not excell." Gen. 49;4 With this pronouncement the eldest son Reuben was passed over and the next son would be chosen heir.
But again ulterior circumstances disabled both of his next two sons from the prominance of the throne. When their sister Dinah was consorted with a strange tribe her brothers arranged a mean plan. Tricking these strangers into injuring themselves, the two brothers Simeon and Levi ran into their camp and slaughtered the people and stole all their goods. Gen.34;25 About this their father Israel grieved and said to Simeon and Levi "Ye have troubled me and make me to stink among the inhabitants of the land." Gen.34;30
In his later prophesies to his sons Israel says about them "Simeon and Levi are bretheren, instruments of cruelty are in their habitations. O my soul, come thou not into their secret..." Gen. 49;5 So hereby both Simeon and Levi were passed by as heirs to the throne of Israel.
But to his fourth son Judah Israel prophesied "Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise. Judah is a lion's whelp, The sceptre shall not depart from Judah....until Shiloh come." Gen. 49;8-10 So Judah, who was Leah's fourth son was set on the throne of Israel.
At this time Rachel herself could not conceive children. so she sent in her maid Bilhah to her husband Israel to bare sons in her place. Gen. 30;4 When Bilhah conceived Dan, Rachel sat him on the throne as her own heir. Later during the regeneration the tribe of Dan became Orthodox Russia and became known both as the Ox, and the Russian Bear.
But after Rachel did finally manage to conceive her own sons, Dan was taken off of her throne. Her first son Joseph, becoming England and America in the regeneration had the "face of a man." The Tribe of Joseph was like ancient Joseph in Egypt. He became again a great administrator. But this time Joseph"s administration was over the entire British commonwealth.
When Joseph disappeared from his father in ancient Israel because he was sold by his brothers, then Benjamin became Israel's prize son. Gen.42;38 So too, in today's regeneration when Joseph who is England gave out his English language to the entire would as the "international language," his own English culture also disappeared. For this reason just as he had done before, Israel put Benjamin into Joseph's place. Today the Germanic Lutheran Tribe of Benjamin holds the "Eagle" emblem and is the King Tribe of the house of Israel.
