• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I completed my Masters a couple of years ago and am now working on a doctoral degree. I love it! I get to study what I enjoy and get to completely ignore what I hate! There is a lot of writing and a lot of reading, but, again, it's usually in an area that you enjoy. If you don't enjoy that area, then don't get your masters in it! I former friend from grad school and a colleague of mine actually has a website for people considering grad school. It's called the Baptist Resource, but it has a lot of non-Baptist schools in there too. What I have used it most for, though, is the part about the different types of degrees and how to choose a grad school. PM me if you have any specific questions about grad school. I enjoy spreading knowledge in that area - I didn't get much help myself when I was starting out.

I just started graduate school this fall of 2010 for my degree in computer science. So far it's fun because it's .. different. The classes are more difficult but the students are hard-working and willing to help. We work together to complete tasks and learn at the same time. The professors are much more willing to bend rules and extend project deadlines for their graduate students.

I also get to do research in an area of my own interest and study some of the latest cutting-edge technology trends. :)

So all-in-all .. graduate school is more difficult but also more enjoyable for me. Just make sure you don't take too many courses your first semester because it can quickly catch up to you!

I don't know if i want to go to graduate school or not. I got my first. B.S. in Biochemistry and i am working on my second B.S. in Chemistry. I got good GRE scores that expire in 2014 so i definitely want to use them before hand. I'm not sure if i want to go to grad school i'll have to see how the next two semesters go.
