CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Who wants to handle these?:
As a Christmas gift to the forum, I'll give a million blessings each to the last 25 people (posters, not posts) in this thread at midnight EST on Christmas Eve.
If the thread splits before Christmas, I will give two million blessings per person if we're on thread (2) or 3 million blessings if we're in thread (3), etc.
There will also be some awards for posters in the thread. They'll be given on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
So far the awards are:
Funniest Post Award,
Best Gift Ideas Award,
Best Christmas Song Posted Award,
Most Touching Post Award,
Best Christmas Outfit Award (it has to be a picture of you wearing it.)
Most Christmas-Spirited Crazy Cat Lady Award.
Best Looking in a Santa Suit (has to be a picture of you)
Mr. Grinch Award
Most Posts on Christmas Eve Award.
Best Christmas Recipe Award
Best Christmas-Colors Profile Award
