  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My grandmother is 93 and having a hard time living by herself, so she's offering to pay for my college if I'll live with her. Basically, I got the "Grandma Scholarship." I decided that's a good deal and my classes start June 2nd. So I'm moving to Texas until I finish my degree or she dies, whichever happens first.

That's cool (well the paying for college part), What part in Texas if you don't mind?

Yeah, but the traffic is bad.

Didn't I hear that you're moving to Colorado? Are you willing to say where?

Either Denver, Boulder, Ft. Collins, or Greeley depending on what grad school I get into.

Ah. In my part we refer to all that as the Denver area. It's where all the liberals who make laws that hurt the rural areas live.

Ah, well I'll tell 'em to stop. Do you plan to move back after college?

Maybe. That will probably depend on what jobs are open and where my friends are.

Yeah. Most of my friends are moving to Dallas, so if I stay in Texas or come back..that's probably where I'll end up. Especially because my sister and bro-in-law also live there and I'm betting my parents will end up moving there; plus, Houston is moment to human arrogance.
