Hey guys  oops gals,  I just found out couple weeks ago that we are expecting our second child.  With Zakk I had back labor.  I was just wondering did u expierence the same kind of labor with each of your children??  I do not look forward to back labor again.

Oh I am due 10/7/03  :)

Hi Gwwyn! Actually, I have two children myself. They are 15 years apart, but both deliveries were very different. With my first it lasted 26 1/2 hours with stomach contractions for the first 8 hours and then the back labor hit and lasted until birth. With my second child (which just happened 2 years ago) it started with back labor, but only lasted for five hours before delivery. I had an epidural with both of my children, but I didn't need it with the second one since he came so fast. Now I am going to be a grandmother in another 6 1/2 months, but this labor I will not have to endure!!

My second child was SO much easier than the first. I didn't have back pain with either. My third was the easiest. I had drugs that time!!! LOL

Congratulations. My SIL just found out she's due - I am feeling old (though I'm younger than her LOL) my youngest is 10. ~sigh~

Well I don't know if this will help you. My first, which is two, I was in labor for 20 hours, no back labor but heavy contractions. My 2nd and 3rd (twins) my water broke at three in the morning and by 7:52, Samuel was born by cesarean. Jonathan follwed 2 minutes later. Up until this point I had no contractions. About 1/2 hour later the contractions started. They induced them to get my uterus to contract. Let me tell you I thought I was gonna DIE!! They gave me morphine and that didn't help. Finally they quit. Every pregnancy is different, just as every baby is different. My first pregnancy was soooooooooo........easy, the second, I wouldn't wish on my enemy. Although I wouldn't trade any of them .

I had two totally different labors. With my daughter...water broke - labored for 24 hours - delievered an 8lb. 8oz. beautiful baby and tore (4th degree - Ouch!) No drugs! With my second...wasn't sure I was in labor, but called the dr. and went to the hospital - I was 7 cm. dilated! Delivered a 9lb. 4oz. beautiful baby with only a 2nd degree laceration 4 hours later and felt as though I was ready to leave the hospital immediately after delivery. No drugs! The second time was so much easier and the recovery was a lot better too.

Thanks guys, I'm still not very far along but was just wondering about that. Was alittle worried when I found out I was pg again cause of my m/c in Sept. However the doctor is watching me alot closer and he is doing sonograms instead of HCG levels to make sure baby is growing. So it's alot easier being able to see everything is ok than waiting on blood test results. I'm not so worried either anymore cause my symptoms just keep getting worse. Ughhh night sickness.

Now just gotta convince hubby between now and deliverary that Logan is a ok name for a girl.
