GOP: We know Joe Biden is corrupt even if there is no evidence of it!

A bunch of spin from left wing news sources is about as far from fact as you can get. Is there even one of those left wing news organizations that was not involved in the Hunter Biden laptop denial hoax? The fact is that the White House had used executive privilege to withhold hundreds of emails about Joe Biden and Hunter Biden’s business dealings. Additionally, the Bidens are not cooperating in revealing what they did to earn the millions of dollars in foreign money that came through shell companies.
Maybe you should use it in your arguments, it's all lined out for you.

I just stated the facts. The response, or lack thereof, is not the transparency Joe Biden's administration brags about. Both of my examples are easily responded to by transparency, there is no valid reason to withhold a decade old information sent to Hunter Biden's business nor a simple explanation as to what all of the Biden family members did to earn the money and if they reported the income on their tax returns.

And when they don't have it, they have to widen the investigation or complain about how many email addresses Biden has.
If Biden is innocent shouldn’t you welcome the investigation so that the Republicans just embarrass themselves? If there’s nothing to hide why oppose an investigation?.

I thought we were still waiting for shocking news about Obama's birth certificate. And Mr. Trumps committee to find millions of missing votes in an election he won.

With all of these equally important investigations still ongoing - and clearly not quietly dropped when they stopped generating fodder for right wing echo chambers - it's going to be a while before they have time to find the missing evidence that Biden is doing whatever it is he is accused of.
Then you should welcome the investigation so that the Republicans just come up empty and embarrass themselves. Why oppose an investigation if there’s nothing to hide? If it works like it did for Trump impeachment will just give Biden more support.
Unless a lot of inconvenient facts come out

A trial would embarrass the Republicans, but when the idea is simply have an investigation to drag on as long as possible without ever having a trial or verdict, it's not a case of seeking justice. It's simply a smear campaign.

I'm not sure why. NxNW's crucial statement was about "the idea is simply have an investigation to drag on as long as possible without ever having a trial or verdict"

In the case of Trump, there was a House vote to impeach twice. And he was impeached twice. And there was a trial and verdict twice in the Senate. 48/52 and 57/43 [including 7 Republican Senators] -- both short of the two-thirds required to remove a president from office.

In the present case, there hasn't even been a vote to start the inquiry, much less an impeachment. We'll watch where it goes of course, but I agree with NxNW that (given the lack of anything coming out of Jordan or Comer's committees so far) the intent is just to investigate with whirling gears and spinning wheels without any results. A trial, should it ever happen, will be embarrassing to Republicans.

These are not fabricated charges like those against Trump, trying to use the "insurrection" of the Civil War Confederacy law to get Trump. Numerous witnesses have come forward with information that Joe Biden committed bribery. Joe has been caught in a lie, falsely claiming that he never discussed Hunter's business with Hunter. An impeachment inquiry is proper and necessary for our Republic. The Republicans could hardly let two impeachment attempts (one even after Trump left office!) on fake charges take place while neglecting to even have an inquiry about Joe when lies and mounds of evidence exist. Such a precedent would do great damage to our country.

What are you talking about? Trump was impeached based on the power of impeachment (the same one McCarthy is trying to use) in the original Constitution of 1787.

It would really help the anti-Biden camp if they had something along the lines of Biden saying:

“I would like you to do us a favor, though”

With the favor being something that benefitted Biden personally, rather than aiding the stated goals of American foreign policy (such as the removal of Shokin).

It appears to be an allusion to Sec 3, 14th Amendment which was only mentioned parenthetically in Articles 2 Impeachment Boogaloo.

By that same token, innocent people should welcome police coming into their house and looing for crimes.

If they have nothing to hide, right?

I don’t think anyone is going to Biden’s house and looking for crimes. They are doing an inquiry. I don’t think that includes a search warrant for Biden’s residence

I think a trial wiould be embarrassing for Biden. It’s already been shown that he lied about not talking to Hunter about his businesses
