What do you do for fun?

If I was a Kenneth Grahame character, I would probably be the Water Rat!
I love being near water and preferably in it!
I love swimming, going on boat trips, especially on the coast.
One of my plans for this year was to take the overnight sleeper train up to Scotland and spend a whole day with a friend touring one of the Lochs and taking photos. But with all the restrictions, I've had to put my plans on hold.
The last big holiday I had was spending a week at a holiday village in a forest in the East of England. I was with a group of friends, one of whom was celebrating her 40th birthday! There was a fabulous water park there with some scary rides. I had to try them out of course and here is the obligatory photo to prove I survived!

What kind of photography do you like? Do you shoot?

Seemed like all the great photographers I learned from were portrait or fashion photographers. I was obsessed with photography when I was younger, but it kinda fell off. I still enjoy good images. In the current field I like the work of Mert + Marcus (these are a couple from the 2000"s)...

I love water. We went to the beach and pool often when I was younger. In my late teens I discovered the restful qualities water brought. I'd walk along the shore and feel a sense of peace that's hard to explain. But I know a fellow water baby would get it.

I enjoy sailing and cruising. My daughter is the same. She rowed too. Maybe its in our blood. We've always lived by water. I couldn't imagine otherwise.

I think I know the one you're talking about. They have a line that goes to Scotland and Ireland. It was on my bucket list. I pray we can resume our travels. You have lots to capture.

That looks like fun! Okay twinlet, I haven't done that in ages. I'm more of the pool party type. But with the right encouragement I might give in. *lol*

The Keira shot is incredible. You can feel her presence. The line is sleek and accentuates her waist subtly. I see duality. Her innocence peeks out in spite of her attire. Its in her eyes. I like smoking pics. I've never used them here but I did in the past. They pack a lot of oomph.

The Uma shot appears innocent. But mischief is peeking through. The contrast is good. The eyes and mouth really pop. I like that.

I like various styles. When I look at fashion photography I'm usually focused on the clothes and she's the hanger. I'm seeing it with a designer's eye. But I can shift gears and view it from the consumer's end and appreciate the photographer's touch.

I love emotive pieces. My avatars are personal. Each image communicates something about me. They're more than pretty faces. I'm expressing a mood, thought, desire, etc.

I view photography as an art. Nudity doesn't bother me. A fine art shot showing skin is okay. But nothing overtly pornographic. I'm reading the image to see what they're communicating and what I'm extracting too. Sensual is good. But I wouldn't hang a sexual piece.

Some research recently led me back to the French interior designer Andree Putman. I grabbed some pictures of her, as she was a very stylish older lady.

Another cool French lady was Loulou de la Falaise, who worked with Yves St. Laurent behind the scenes as a muse.

She reminds me of Ines de la Fressange. French women are very stylish. Especially when they age.

I missed this part. Andre Talley spoke well of her in his book, The Chiffon Trenches. It was really good.

The Chiffon Trenches, lol. I bet there was some warfare backstage! He could probably write a multi-volume set.
