Terrible. I am easily verklempt. I'll tell you one thing though, that I didn't find out until my husband had a cancer scare. I'm very calm when it comes to something major. Everything else though...Well, if I were a small dog, I would wet myself. :D They say, people who handle day to day stresses with no visable emotion , usually fall apart when something serious happens. And I've seen that to be true. And people who fall apart over the little things (like me) , are surprisingly strong and cool thinking when something major happens.

Good or bad at painting a picture with your words?

I quite agree, I'm pretty much the same way, I think.

Good. The L-rd has blessed me with the ability to express my feelings on paper, and it's literally been a lifesaver for me. Although I've always had a love of language and words, it wasn't till I experienced serious depression that I actually found the reason and outlet for it. Long before I got help, I wrote free-verse poems, which became my catharsis, a way of facing and releasing my feelings. I've since gone on to do other types of writing, including playlets and skits for Shabbat school with another CF sister.

Same. I take some comfort in aspiring to be an artisan of the written word. It makes me feel like I have some creativeness within me, some value. I used to write stories when I was a child. That and draw castle pictures. :D

I deal with depression as well. But, I never learned how to write poetry. I write my thoughts and feelings in a journal. I wouldn't say it's been cathartic for me, however. It has only served to remind me of what a cold and uncaring world I've craated for myself. And just how profoundly alone with my pain, I really am.

Good or bad at giving someone a negative answer when you know they are waiting to hear from you?( Instead of blowing them off. )
