never read the book, a friend of mine recommended it with the caveat that the series starts out as good fantasy, but then turns into atheist propaganda.

personally I find most atheists to be irritating, thus I'm not in a hurry to subject myself to it.

I haven't heard of it before but have just recently noticed how much publicity it's getting at the box office...it seems to be more geared to kids. Thankfully, I don't have to worry about my little one watching things like that yeat, she's too young. Interesting tho, peoples thoughts on it.

Below is the website that I check before going to any movie. Thankfully I checked with it before going to 3:10 to Yuma. I love westerns and was soooo looking forward to this movie - but it was anti-christian all the way. I haven't looked to see if they have anything about Golden Compass yet, but they normally do by the time any movie is released!

You are so welcome. I found it about 6 months ago and it's been great. Actually read through it one evening - all the movies I had been wanting to see and I was able to eliminate probably 80% of them!
