I have a problem. I am very scared about going to hell. I think about it all the time. I pray a lot, and have accepted Jesus Christ as my savior, that He died for my sins, so I should feel that I am going to heaven. But I keep messing up. Everyday I get impatient, I use bad language, and sometimes I can be rude to others. Mostly this happens out of habit, and then I will be upset after I do it. I get worried that I am not a real Christian, and that I don't really love Jesus. I want to feel assured that I am saved, but I know I will sin in the future, sometimes willingly, and am afraid that if I am too confident, I will lose salvation. It's confusing because some say you can't lose salvation, but others say you can. Who is right? How can you choose to obey God, but then turn around and sin, even without realizing you're doing it?

There is a difference between small sins like impatience, bad language, and rudeness, and willful rebellious sins. The small sins you are talking about God will work out of your life over time, I am sure he would not send you to hell for them.

When you mess up just confess and repent. Its a new day each day and His mercies are new each morning. How do we know we are saved? Well its personal to each of us but Jesus has promised He will never leave nor forsake us. He's the one that isn't going to lose anyone, not you losing Him. You just have to keep looking to Jesus, going forward and not back.

If there's a specific sin thats bothering you name it and ask Jesus to remove it, and help you put it behind you. It does take time to learn a new habit.

Have you been baptised? And received the gift of the holy spirit?

Make sure to get water baptized. Water baptism is what frees our bodies from the law of sin and death.

Until you're water baptized, "you don't have to sin" but you're subjected to sin, still.

Read this carefully, several times:
----------------------------------------------
6 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? 3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.
-----------------------------------------------

In the Greek, "body" means body. Meaning, should you not be water baptized, your flesh body is subject to the dominion of sin. You will remain enslaved to sin, even if you have the spirit of Christ in you.

You have to believe Romans 6 by faith and enforce it in your life by trusting what God did during water baptism. Once water baptized, you have died to sin. Until then, you may be saved, but you have not died to sin.

After that, yes, you need the gift of the Holy Spirit.

I don't know how to answer that other than not to believe in hell fire hell.

I have the uncontrollable habit of harboring unforgiveness and nursing bitterness against others. I have angry thoughts everyday of those who have wronged me. Those who don't forgive others will not be forgiven. So I have the fear of ending up in hell at the back of my mind too. Please don't believe once saved always saved doctrine. You can lose your salvation in many ways. One very dangerous example I can point out to you is by taking the mark of the beast.

9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Revelations 4

Please note that the verse 9 says if ANY MAN takes the mark he will burn in hell. Even if you have accepted Christ before you could lose your salvation by taking the mark of the beast.

Christening is not the same as exercising your will to choose to be baptized. Another way to look at it is that you have never made the choice to be baptized. (However, I'm not suggesting what you should or shouldn't do because of this.)

From the few sentences you wrote, it seems to me that (1) you are saved, (2) definitely not going to hell, (3) came to Christ with "baggage" that HE will take off of you as you do your best to be obedient to him, and (4) you can't change the fact that Jesus paid for your sins. :)

We are not to sin, but for some things we need God's help. God loves you and wants to help you. Ask him (and keep asking him) for help to be obedient. Repent when you sin. Try not to be self-condemning about the fact that you are a fallen human; there's nothing you can do about that. It's God that will deal with that. God also purifies your heart when you believe something in Scripture, pray, or fast, so do not neglect these things (especially trying to know God better through Scripture).

You can believe the sky is red, but that does not make it red if it is blue. Ignoring something does not make it okay.
Belief doesn't mean you know something fully, that's why it's called belief and not knowing.

Ok so our lord and savior said some things about hell (Separation, a dung heap, a worm, destruction, blackness, and eternal hell fire)
Not all are reconcilable, in short no one has a clue.

The Mark of the Beast has not come yet, and we don't know what it will be.

The truth of the Gospel does not depend on or vary with our imperfect faith and practice. Believe what your baptism signifies: You are God's beloved child (Matthew 3:16,17), your sins are washed away (Acts 22:16), and you have put on Christ (Galatians 3:27).
