Being from an Eastern culture, and growing up in the West. Generally, in a lot of Eastern cultures, respect for elders is strongly emphasized, but a lot of the times the youth are mocked/ignored/belittled. Generally, in Western cultures, youth are given freedom and independence, but the elderly can at times be ignored/disrespected. I've needed guidance from The Holy Spirit as I try to uphold both Ephesians 6:4 and Leviticus 19:32 verses.
