• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Dear Berry2000

This sounds to me like it could be one of two things.

1. You found some outstanding illegal drug!!!

OR

2. You are not regulated with the right meds yet. Legal meds.

I think you need to sit on your doctors doorstep until he gets things right.

Mania like in the ole days of GREAT HIGHS are a very DANGEROUS thing as we are ADDICTED to them.

BUT

The more we do it the easier it is for the brain to do it next time.

HEY, I JUST THOUGHT OF SOMETHING!!! MAYBE WE GOT A DRUG PUSHER IN THE BRAIN??? IF SO THEY NEED TO BE ARRESTED!!!

LIFE IS SO MUCH BETTER WHEN WE REMEMBER:

X Even though you can't see him, GOD is there!!! O
( click on the x and drag to the O ) ( then see who is with you ) steven

I pray that the Lord will renew you and refresh you during this time. It is not a good thing to go up and down without seeing your doctor or taking the right medications. God knows I made that mistake and almost was committed for a very very very long time. Episodes just lasted a couple of days, but treatment lasted more than 5 mos.

Lord I ask that you will give your child clarity of mind and protect them as they go through this imbalance.

The sad thing is I think the meds are working. This is the best I have ever been. Whereas I do feel the swings...and it does effect me...no one else except hubby really notices and it doesn't impaire my functioning until the end of the day. Yeah I'm slowed...but I'm not stopped. And I know what stopped looks like.

I think this is as good as it gets for me...and I"m going to have to learn to live with these swings.

Want to be, You know your own body best, and you may be right that this is as good as it will get, but please include your hubby and your doctor in this decision and don't just accept this "because it is better than I was" Some of us (and I asked my doc this just last week) need to adjust or meds up and down with the seasons or with stress in our lives. Just some food for thought! Hugs!

Blessings and Prayers as always!!!

Thanks alive again. I know what you are saying...and it is good advice. I guess I just get scared that whenever I say things aren't perfect they just increase the dose or add more meds...and that can get out of control. Plus then I'm dealing possible new side effects, and drowsiness and all that. But I am considering and will include doc and therapist and hubby...in helping me decided.
