Hello everyone.... As a long story would open this up quite well, I'll try not to bore you with a long story, so to sum it up lets get talking Youth Ministry.
Here's the long story short, I feel like I'm called to ministry, because that's the one thing I life I only have a passion for. I'm 16, and since I was saved last yr. Feb Christ, God, the Word is where my heart is.
I always think that if I was to goto college for engineering it'd be difficult, but to go for minstry would be a joy. It wouldn't be school and hours of studying, it'd be hours of enjoying God's wisdom, and to grow closer to Him.
That is kind of where I stand... I've always strived to go the farthest I can go, to reach for the highest if you will.
For my studies at my high school, this year I'll be taking quite a few AP (advance placement, equivlent to college classes), along with all honors and possibly an extra hour than most students (come in an hour early everyday).
When I look back at it, I never did pray when selecting my classes as much as I should have.... Perhaps letting you all know of my classes may help,
AP Lang, AP Calc BC, AP Euro History, Honors Physics, AP Physc... I cannot recall the other classes that I'll be taking.... I have most of my req. out of the way.
* My question is... is that all of this is seems like it's geared towards mathematics and science... but not ministry and social work... and I'm not sure where to go. I know God will give me wisdom, and direction of where to go, but I wouldn't mind some extra thoughts.
** Any classes that you'd recomend getting into for minstry? Perhaps some Youth Pastors could shed some insight on the types of classes they took.
