read Revleation chapter 20 verses 7-8

Revelation Chapter 20 verses 7-8

"When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—and to gather them for battle."

The "Anti-Christ" is NOT part of the Gog/Magog events...at least not according to Revleation 20.

TWO wars...

1.) Megiddo

<1000 Year Reign>

2.) THEN Gog/Magog

WOW!!!!!
My comment

Two battles .... 1000 years apart

The first [Ezekiel 38; 39; Revelation 19:11-21]

The next [Revelation 20:7-10]

Not the same .... read about both carefully .... many differences

Same devil [Satan, gog]

Same behavior of rebelling nations against the Lord and Israel [magog]
Gog/Magog = Armageddon
Is the Gog Magog War the Battle of Armageddon ?

CONCLUSION
Despite what some teach about the battle of Gog/Magog, the Bible makes it clear that this conflict is the same one popularly called the "battle of Armageddon" in the book of Revelation. Both Ezekiel and Revelation record that this battle will feature an earthquake which will level the mountains and collapse all the cities of the world. They both state that huge hailstones will fall from the sky on the attackers. Both Ezekiel and Revelation show that the attackers who march against Israel will be slain in great numbers and become food for scavenger birds. By comparing the similar points of the two prophecies, it is clear that these two prophecies are different descriptions of the same event. Therefore, we can be certain that the battle of Gog/Magog–Armageddon is the final major rebellion of the nations against God before the start of the Millennium.
Great topic. I like Brian Huey's site.

Revelation 16:14 and 20:8 appear to have similar wording. Some have said they may be the same event. [do a board title search for "gog magog". About 2,700 results]

Ezekiel 38:2 “Son of adam!
Place! faces of thee to Gog, land of the Magog, prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal, and prophecy against him.

Ezekiel 39 YLT biblehub

Ezekiel 39
:
17 And thou, son of man, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Say to the bird — every wing, and to every beast of the field: Be assembled and come in, Be gathered from round about, For My sacrifice that I am sacrificing for you, A great sacrifice on mountains of Israel, And ye have eaten flesh, and drunk blood. 18 Flesh of the mighty ye do eat, And blood of princes of the earth ye drink, Of rams, of lambs, and of he-goats, Of calves, fatlings of Bashan — all of them. 19 And ye have eaten fat to satiety, And ye have drunk blood — to drunkenness, Of My sacrifice that I sacrificed for you. 20 And ye have been satisfied at My table with horse and rider, Mighty man, and every man of war, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

Revelation 19 YLT biblehub

Revelation 19:17 And I saw one messenger standing in the sun, and he cried, a great voice, saying to all the birds that are flying in mid-heaven, ‘Come and be gathered together to the supper of the great God, 18 that ye may eat flesh of kings, and flesh of chiefs of thousands, and flesh of strong men, and flesh of horses, and of those sitting on them, and the flesh of all — freemen and servants — both small and great.’
[Zephaniah 1:17/Ezekiel 39:17-20]

Revelation 16:14 For they are spirits of demons doing signs, which are going-out upon the kings of the whole home-land,
to be together-leading/mobilizing them into the Battle of the great Day of God, the Almighty.
16 And they are together-leading/mobilize them into the Place, the being called to Hebrew Armageddon

Revelation 20:8 and he shall be coming out to deceive the nations, the ones in the four corners of the land, the Gog and Magog, to be together-leading/mobilizing them into the Battle, of which the number of them as the sand of the sea.[Ezekiel 7:1-2]

Hi Adamina,

The timing of Gog/Magog of Ezekiel 38/39 is right before the 7 year 70th week begins.

In Ezekiel 39, 1-16 is the destruction of Gog's army. And the burial of Gog's army.

Which is followed by the 7 years in Ezekiel 39:9.

Ezekiel 39:17-20 is the Armageddon feast, at the end of the 7 years, corresponding to Revelation 19:17-18, to take place at Jesus's return.

In Ezekiel 39:21-29, and this is big, it is Jesus Himself speaking in the text, having returned to earth, indicated by Ezekiel 39:21. He will rule the nations with a rod of iron (to keep evil in check).

In Ezekiel 39:22-29, Jesus is recounting why the house of Israel was exiled into the nations. Because they trespassed against him.

But will have returned to good status because they turned to him during second half of the seven years. Revelation 12:10.

Ezekiel 39:28 is the bringing all the Jews from the nations to their own land. Corresponding to Matthew 24:31, the gathering of the elect from the four winds.

btw, I would recommend reading from the KJV.
