Looks great.
I cried at the end of the last new version that starred Matthew Broderick. Turns out Godzilla was a girl.
I wonder if this one will follow the same theme. If so, note to self; bring Kleenex.

This Godzilla is sticking to the actual Godzilla lure and basically wants to be the same as the Japanese Godzilla movies. Mind you there are some minor tweaks, even to Godzilla himself. I know I will enjoy this fawr more then the other american made GOdzilla movie.

It's got everything. Brian Cranston and a giant lizard. I'm already loving what they did with Pacific Rim (I put that on while I was folding clothes last night!), so I'm hyped up for some Godzilla.

I raised on Saturday afternoon Showa era Godzilla movies. I watched them all, Gamera, Mothra, Rodan, Johnny Sokko And His Flying Robot, etc.

First Pacific Rim now this!

I'm feeling some kind of way about this. With the 1998 movie, I wanted to stand up in the theater and shout, "THAT'S NOT GODZILLA...REVOLT". I know...I know...I really did though. That was a travesty. I felt like I was watching a bad Jurassic Park movie. What part of Godzilla always saves the day don't some people understand? Soooo I don't know. I'm tempted. I'll just have to wait and see how I feel about it and maybe read some non-spoiler reviews.

I've been waiting for this film since I first heard about it a couple of years ago. No w that it is almost here I am more and more impressed with the images I am seeing.
At least this time we have a Godzilla, Gojiro, that keeps the appearance of the original. The trailers give the impression that he will be treated like what he truly is, a destructive force of nature. Neither thinking or caring about the devastation he brings to mankind. Plus, from what I've read, we will see him fighting at least one other monster.

The best thing about the 1999 film was the Taco Bell commercial that promoted it where the chihuahua was trying to lure in Godzilla with a burrito or something saying "Heeeeere Leeeesard.... Heeeere Leeesard, Leeesard, Leeesard...."

This actually does look pretty good.
I've never really been into Godzilla (I've seen a lot of the older films but have never been 'into' them ) but if this movie gets good word of mouth I might end up seeing it.

You are correct. The title is Godzilla: Final War. And I love that film. I liked the updating and revisions of the other creatures, especially Gigan. And I did not mind that they added, again, aliens controlling the monsters.
But the best part, when Godzilla was marching through Sidney Australia, and destroyed GINO in just a few seconds.
