• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I thought I could do it on my own. and what a disappointment it is to find out that you have to have med's. ): Cos honestly I thought I was fighting the good fight when my med's were giving me the strength. Well you just got to accept these thing's in life and press on. I don't want any one to think I'm a superman in any way. I take med's I fall short and humble myself in this. I even brake the law to get the med's I need to get threw the hard part's. Not encouraging anyone to do that. But this is a real disorder with real pain and I hope for me and all of you that we will get better. I don't like the idea of surpressing my OCD by med's cos what happen's if I don't have a way to get them. But ERP can be utterly traumatic expesially with someone who has done psychodelics and screwed there brain up enough to where they have moderate Schizophrenia. Sorry for the venting I hope you guy's stay strong!!!!

I'm sorry dabro. It doesn't mean that the meds were giving you strength. They may help regulate some of the chemistry that's off but don't think less of yourself for taking meds.

As hard as it is to deal with this, I've accepted the fact that I may not get completely healed from this, but I'm still hoping for it.

We are human beings, thus we are prone to make mistakes. God doesn't love us any less than he did before.

hi Dabro,

A diabetic has pancreas that do not produce enough insulin ,

God does not love them any less because they need insulin.

Don't let anything hold you back Dabro , okay.

We have to keep our minds on Jesus , the author and finisher of our faith.

medicine or no medicine , we can always still abide in Jesus and trust in Jesus.

We can still call on Him in prayer and bible reading.

We are no less His child, we are no less valuable.

He is still our strength and help in time of need.

He is the source of our life and our comfort .

He still leads us to still waters and restores our souls.

Taking medicine changes nothing , right.

Do not look down on yourself Dabro,

Jesus loves you and all of us just as we are.

We come to Him just as we are.

He knows all about us , He laid down His life for us.

He is still protecting us.

Do not be discouraged with yourself at all.

Cancer patients take medication, lots of people do.

Jesus still loves us and we still come before His throne for grace and mercy in time of need.

We still grow and mature as we abide in Jesus.

We are all welcome to come before Him and make our requests known to Him and priase Him.

Jesus loves us and sings over us with joy , He delights in us.

Never get down on yourself, okay.

Lots of us take medicine for a mariad of reasons.

We are children of the Most High God .

Accepted in the beloved just as we are .

How precious are His thoughts to us

How great is the some of them,

more than the sands.

We,
all humans ,
are weak and broken and needy,
only us believers have a heavenly Father to go to for help

only us believers have a Saviour
who saves to the uttermost and
leads us in the way we should go
and forgives all our sins
and gives us rest.

We children of the most High God
we the redeemed
though we suffer now

it shall not be compared to the glory that shall be revealed in us.

Worthy is the Lord

Thank you Ann!!!! I love how you combat our suffering with scripture. Must be reading alot :) ? I get into His word and He opens up so much about Him and the wisdom that comes from Christ and shown threw his Apostales. I know I'm going to have to deal with this prolly my whole life. And sometimes I wish I could go back in time and listen to my parents and preacher's who warned me of the danger's of drugs. When I go threw a rough patch, I panic and break the law of our country and God's to get the help I need and I feel cruddy about that. And I don't want to rely on med's cos if the economy hit's the tank and there are no more funds, then what would I do. I can't live in the constant fear that God's going to throw me in Hell. But thanks LadyL, and annrobert. I guess I need to rely on God's promises that He takes care of His Children.
