Five men from the east come to a village in the west.
They asks for provisions from the village.
The village will accommodate the request if they can answer one question.
The consequence for giving the wrong answer is death.
The village asks the men, what is God's name?
How should they respond, they think among themselves.
The men have heard God called many names and are afraid to choose one.
The village becomes impatient and demands they answer or leave immediately.
Each man can respond independent of the others.
The first man responds, "The Creator".
The village responds, "That is what God is, not God's name!", and so they killed him.
The second man more nervous now responds, "The Almighty!".
The village responds, "This is one of God's attributes, not God's name!", and so they killed him.
The third man now trembling with fear responds "Love".
The village responds, "This is something God supports, not God's name!", and so they killed him.
The fourth man runs away afraid he too will be put to slaughter.
The final man looks up at them and says in a gentle and serious voice, "Lord Brekyirihunuade Kwaku Ananse Anansi Asase Ya Bia Nyame Ayaba Da Gbadu Gleti Gu Lisa Loko Mawu Azeban Tabaldak Gitche Manitou Tia Kokopelli Aholi Angwusnasomtaka Shamash Merodach Ishtar Nebo Nergal Ptah Ejo Geb Horus He Xiangu Cao Guojiu Han Zhongli Krishna Shiva Vishnu Yama Apollo Juno Jupiter Neptune Venus Ceres Yahweh Allah God Acolnahuaccatl Chantico Toci Xochipilli Yacatechuhiti Coatilcue [...].
The villagers were stunned and asked "How did you know?"
The man responded "These are all the names by which men have called God. Not a single name is better than the other."
