  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Is any one else absolutely amazed by God's love for us i know i am and i can't help but thank God for it.

Oh yes, Such love, such wondrous love, that Christ should save a sinner such as I, How wonderful is love like this!

Those words from the old hymn say it all! His mercy, loving such sinners, so unworthy of anything good from God!

While we were sinners Christ died for us!
We love Him because He first loved us!

Unless it was due to His great mercy and forgiveness of all our sin we would still be in our sin, condemned to the wrath to come!

Eph 2:4-7 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses made us alive together with Christ(by grace you have been saved) and raised us up together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

Soli deo gloria

Sometimes (most times) I am literally without words when I think about all God has done for me - I know I certainly did nothing to deserve it.

'Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me' - John Newton could have been writing about me (by virtue of my sinful nature I was leading an X-rated life). Yet our Abba Father, in His infinite goodness and loving grace brought me out of that life and into His presence. I will never be able to thank Him or praise Him enough.

God has been loving to me in so, so many ways. Sometimes I struggle with sadness, and I wish that I were not physically disabled, or that I could find a good job, or that I were not 32 years old and still single. I know that He is sanctifying me through all of these realities in my life, and I give thanks for that fact, but at times, in my humanness, I do feel sad about them. However, when I truly think about the fact that God could have easily-- and justly!-- allowed me, a sinner, to die in my sins and suffer in eternal Hell... and yet, He was merciful to me and saved me, when I hated Him... that, my friends, is unfathomable love. Love of which I could never be worthy, and love for which I will always be grateful. God's love, especially as expressed through His gifts of grace and salvation, is the only thing that truly makes life worth living. Every other good thing in life is a mere shadow compared to God's love.
