God gives every person the opportunity to repent but he will not withhold the judgment of sin forever. The New Testament tellls us of the judgment which the Lord Jesus Christ will bring on those who reject him as Savior. 11 Thessalonians 1:8-9 says ," he will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus." They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his power. God is withholding his wrath against sin today. He allows blasphemous people to continue unhindered in what they are saying. However! God will not always withhold his judgment. We must never forget that a day of judgment is coming. A sinner may resist the will of God as long as he lives but such resistance plunges him into destruction and damnation at death. God never allows a person to scoff at him without eventually experiencing judgment; unless that person repents. God does not want to see people die in their sins. He desires that all would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth
