• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Please help me understand, will you join in this discussion of the KJV Bible and only the KJV Bible? That is where we will find the truth.
Understand what? the Bible? of course I will help you understand it. Take a look at the original languages and translate them into modern English and you'll be amazed at what you'll find. There is a thread about the Hebrew in Genesis my advice is you read it and learn how to actually see what is being said.

Are you afraid to just look at the KJV Bible?
You're missing the point my friend. The point is that the KJV was written in the letters of three languages, like the superscription over him on the cross. Luke 23:38 & John 19:20. Sorry, sometimes you have to add it up yourself. Look, the names of those books have four letters, which may be a reference for today. The phrase, "now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout" John 19:23, may be a reference for the KJV Bible.

Read what I said Ken and figure it out, don't make me write it in early modern English.
It's a yes or no question, what's wrong with you?

What's wrong with me? I'm tired of thinking for other people.
If you haven't figured the answer out yet then it means you need me to work more to answer it. Guess what it ain't happening. Start using the brain that God gave you and figure the answer out for yourself.

If you want to keep this at an intellectual level do not limit me to the KJV.
I wouldn't leave my email address up in a public place if I were you, it's a sure fire way to get spam cause bots scour forums all the time looking for just that type of thing.
Thank you, but that's the premise; KJV only.

I don't understand the KjV's medieval-speak, and I'll bet half of the people using it don't, either. The "KJV only" movement just comes from ignorance about Bible translation and xenophobia. There were plenty of orthodox Christians in Egypt at whatever time they think they weren't, and if they had been Orthodox (with a Capitol O) it wouldn't have mattered. Not even Catholic Bibles have talk of worshipping Popes, praying to statues, etc., that redneck Protestants might fear they have. It's shameful how so many Christians like to forget church history and pretend like Martin Lither was the founder of our faith (he wasn't).

What am I saying, luther is probably not to be trusted. He translated the Bible into German. You know who else spoke German? NAZIS! ;)

None of that matters; what matters is that we have the printed Word of God, in the King James Version of the Bible.

So you say. But you seem to be referring to some sort of mysticism required to read the Bible. There are no strings, there is no code, there is no secret process.

There is only simple logic to take you through the scriptures.

The Koine Greek is irrelevant. Any other version is irrelevant. This is a study of the conversation of passages in the letters of the text of the KJV Bible, God's Interpretation. This is the interpretation referenced in 2 Peter 1:20-21. All, "private interpretations," do not exist.

How can the Koine Greek (the original language) be irrelevant? It would seem to me that it's the most relevant issue in determining the meaning of Scripture.

How do you know? What is your proof? Whatever it is, I have proof to the contrary.

Do you really think that scripture wasn't written on a deeper level than where you are now? This; even though the thoughts of the LORD are very deep? Psalms 92:5. I'm sorry, my friend, but you are living in a fantasy world.
