The Sun is a good example. We can see it therefore we know it exists. But I would have to diagree that we can define it. Do we already know everything there is to know about the Sun? .

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun

Looks like a pretty good scientific, cohherent definition to me.

But unfortunately for those who affirm the existence of a God is concerned, there is no coherent definition for what a god is exactly.

It seems like when it comes down to what a God is exactly, there only seems to be nothing more that concepts born out of human imaginations and a long list of gods with names given to them by the humans who invented them:

Bore da. Sut mae?

I believe God, the Eternal is pure light, pure energy.

I believe in God(s) because this Earth was here before I was born, and will be here after I die. I nor any human created this planet. Something far greater than our species created matter and the laws of physics and chemistry.

Th-th- th- that's all, folks!

So how does this explain what a God is, exactly?

And why do you believe one exists?

God(dess) is energy. Energy that comes from everething on our planet and maybe doesn't come together as one unified, coherent object or force but is still a force that is there. It is the intangible energy that flows from every action and thought we have. This comes from the fact that every action no matter how small takes energy, correct? And energy can niether be destroyed nor created according to the law of conservation of energy. The simple act of reading this is causing your nuerons to fire and even that takes energy, that energy has to then go back into the energy cycle to fulfill scientific law. God in my opinion, for this is opinion and therefore fallible, is that energy that is every where and in everything, both potential and kinetic energy. Shifting and stable.
As for why I believe? I believe because I look around me and see that energy being used (not physically see energy but you get the point). I see it and I know it combind makes something greater, maybe not supernatural or even all powerful, but somehow greater.
This is as I have said my own opinon. You do not have to agree, understand, or respect it. I am answering the question asked with my own views on it.

I think God makes Himself known through HIs Messengers and Prophets... by ourselves we can reflect some of the attributes of God but to better know God is to turn to His Manifestations. We cannot encompass God or begin to comprehend God but we can gather more about Him indirectly through His Prophets.

In the Bible it says Jesus was the radiance of the Glory of God... He reflected God's Glory...to us.

All you are attempting to do here is to think that the only way you can explain the natural world around you is to throw "god" in the mix.

Sounds like all you're describing is natural phenomena and nothing more. What does that have to do with a God? It also doesn't tell me what a God is, exactly.
