  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

God will bring you through it

Psalms 77

10 And I said, This is my infirmity: but I will remember the years
of the right hand of the most High.

11 I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember
thy wonders of old.

12 I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.

13 Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as
our God?

David was going through a tough battle in his life. In verse 10 we
not only find him accepting his hardship, but we also find him looking
beyond his hardship by recalling his past.

In verse 10, he says, "This is My Infirmity: but I will remember
the years of the right hand of the most High".

Even though we may be faced with a difficult situation we must use
this time to cast our burdens upon God and remember the times when
He has brought us through and delivered us.

Do you remember that difficult situation you had last year? You thought
you would never get through it, right? Did God bring you through
it?

What about two years ago, when you couldn't pay the bills? Did God
bring you through it?

What about several months ago, when you lost a dear loved one? Did
God bring you through it? Of course he did and He is faithful to
bring you through your current storm as well.

God is faithful to give us the strength and courage to bear any burden
that may be on us.

Take a moment today to remember all of the tough times that God has
brought you through. Praise Him for all of the things that he has
done in your life. He is faithful to strengthen you and He'll see
you through again and again.

May God bless your day with strength,

Kerry

Thanks for the encouragement. It made me think of a song I heard a long time ago: You can make it, you can make it. This trial you re going through the Lord s going to show you just what to do. yoou can make it,you can make it. i don t care what s going wrong, the Lord won t let it last too long, you re not in this thing alone. you can make it.
