That was written by Luke, not God. Luke was not an eyewitness to anything.
And yet he suffered martyrdom for saying he was.

Makes sense ... if you're Mark Twain.

Actually, the Book of Luke is the only book of the bible with any chance of being written by or ghost written for a person who was alive at the same time as Jesus

Every book in the Bible was 'ghost written'.

2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Then consider it ghost write inception: Holy Spirit to human, human to another human

You're not familiar with the art of amanuensis, are you?

Tell you what:

Write a letter to Maria, then give it to Sue.

If Sue photocopies it and then gives it to Alice, who wrote the letter?

And most scholars agree, Luke was not written by Luke. In fact, most scholars agree, none of the four gospels were written by the names that were affixed to them many decades after they were actually written.

-_- I meant that by the time Luke was written said individual wasn't of strong enough health to write legibly (shaky old hands and whatnot) so likely would have verbally told someone else what to write.

Even if that was the case ... who wrote the letter?

Do you know what you just described?

Dictation ... also referred to as "mechanical inspiration".

But whether it was mechanical inspiration, or verbal plenary inspiration ... who wrote the letter?

Still would have been whoever ghost wrote for the speaker; even the best of people are going to do some rewording when they write like that

I don't know if you've ever owned one, but if you get one of those old, old Bibles, they used to have an addendum at the end of the epistles, saying who actually penned the words, and where they were penned at.

Ephesians, for example, after starting out:

Ephesians 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

... would have an addendum that would say something like:

Written in Galatia by Tychicus.

Sure, fair enough. Although I do not know if a ghost writer would put their own name down or not; you'd think they should feel obligated to put the name down of the person they are writing for, but I wouldn't count on that. Also, even back then people had pen names.

Profession secretaries, when they write the closing of a letter, will type the name of the person who dictated the letter; then, if I remember my college days correctly, put his initials under it, along with hers.

For example:

Sincerely,

James Wong
JW:sb

James Wong wrote the letter, but Sue Baker is the secretary.

His initials are capitalized; her's aren't.

(But don't quote me on this.)

:p remember, proper protocol requires proper people to actually be done.

Without evidence to the contrary, I would assume the person holding the pen.

"Facilitated communication (FC) is a process by which a person referred to as the "facilitator" supports the hand or arm of a communicatively impaired individual while using a keyboard or other devices with the aim of helping the individual to point and thereby to communicate.

The procedure is controversial: most peer reviewed scientific studies conclude that the typed language output attributed to the clients is actually directed or systematically determined by the facilitator."

And who can pick'em better than God!?

Alright, but what if the people who wrote the bible just happened to share names with some of the people written about in the book? Many of those weren't uncommon names
