What about all those north European countries? Way better standard of living that then the US and far more ‘pagan’.

Oh the horror! Affordable health care, less wealth inequality, schools safe for children. A living nightmare.
Having God-honoring laws is the goal.

But that leads to countries like the US, India and Iran. Which I think we can all agree are bad places unless you are wealthy or connected.

You're welcome. Realize it's not just Christians who acknowledge the existence of God.

No believer is reluctant to acknowledge the God invoked by our founders, and athiests are free not to. Christian Nationalists, on the other hand, seem to want to impose a narrow sectarian view of who that God is and what He wants from us. Nothing in our enabling documents allows for this, however devout our founders may have been or what the theological content of their beliefs.

That was a compromise forced upon those in the Northern states by the leaders and people of the Southern states. If that compromise wasn't accepted, then the South would not have joined in with the American Revolution nor would have Southern leaders signed the Declaration of Independence.
That's not correct. Legal abolition in the northern states didn't begin until 1780, and even then, it was pretty gradual.

Better to ask politely, atheist or not.
Romans 11: 36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory for ever. Amen. RSVCE
The entire chapter of Romans 11 refers to His people - the Children of Israel.

I have no idea how you came to that conclusion.

That says nothing about “him” giving us the rights of “life,” “liberty,” and/or the “pursuit of happiness.” I’m looking for something concrete from the Bible that says your deity grants us those rights. Not something as vague as a fortune cookie.

The problem with the notion of "God-given rights" is that that it appears that only man-made institutions guarantee or enforce those rights.

They are all far too religious for their own good and desperate places to live compared to western democracies.

I never said anything about religious.

I’m still trying to find the verse that guarantees our right to not quarter soldiers, or the one that guaranteed our right to make, sell, and consume alcohol except between 1919 and 1933.

Hopefully someday every government institution is led by Bible-believing Christians, and every law is based on biblical principles. Trying to be unequally yoked with pagan ideas has proven to be disastrous.

I never said anything about religious.
You understand I can read the posts you make on this forum, don't you?
