• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

125 lbs of pure terror

Goals include 1) 400 mile self-supported trip across New York (Buffalo to Albany along Erie canal) in 5 days with my buddy hopefully in mid-May, 2) Race up Mt. Washington in August. My goal here is to not die and make it up in a reasonable time. Given that Tyler Hamilton won last year (he used to be one of Lance Armstrong's teammates), I'm going for survival

Those 2 are my big goals for the year ...

height-5'9"
weight- 145ish lbs give or take
Goal- To recover from IT Band syndrome and get back into running. I have to take care of my overuse injuries in order to continue working. I am resting and icing and have new shoes. I am strengthening and stretching too.
We have a Regina Police 1/2 and full marathon each spring and I would love to be recovered enough to be on a relay team and run at least 7K.

God Bless, J

5'-9" 165 lbs. - current height & weight. Goal to maintain this size with minimum bodyfat. To do a lot of cycling this year (knee friendly cardio) and continue with weight training. Doing good on the nutrition. The candy has got to go even though it's like my kryptonite :p So far so good!

Sometimes I feel so discouraged when I work out so hard everyday and then I only lose 2 pounds. I guess 5lbs for this past week is ok, but I want it all to go away right now! grrr

5lbs in a week? What are you doing? Cardio for hours and a calorie deficiency? That pace seems inordinately fast. My mom has been on a strictly regimented diet and light exercise program for now about 10 months and has lost ~80lbs. Less than half the pace you're making... be careful what it is you're losing too... losing water hurts you more than it helps... even just for your confidence.
