Go ahead, falsify evolution!

Just find one rabbit fossil in the Cambrian layers. Oh, I'll make it easy. Find the fossil of a flowering plant in the Cambrian layers. Oh, heck, how 'bout a sea turtle fossil?

YEC'ers claim that the fossils we find are from animals that all died in the flood, right? Why are no examples of the fossils I've mentioned in the deep geological layers? Hmmm?

Why doesn' the ICR fund an actual fossil dig, and go out and dig up a mammal fossil from the Cambrian layers?

If one such fossil were found, it might be called a fraud. But hey, all the animals on earth, except for a few on the ark, died in this deluge, right? There ought to be millions of such fossils. So dig up 2 or 3 mammal fossils from the Cambrian. They're all over the place, right?

Why doesn't ICR do this? This ought to be the easiest thing in the world to do, right? Fund a few fossil digs, document everything carefully, and VOILA! evolution is debunked!

This is a very serious question. WHY don't they go dig for these fossils? Do they really, deep down in their minds, know that no such fossils will ever be found? Do they think that it would cost too much? C'mon, they have millions to play with.

So, when will the fossil dig project for the Institute for Creation Research begin? I'll be waiting....

Yes, of course I believe that, Micaiah. 150 years of science has only confirmed the general Darwinian hypothesis, and produced the modern neo-Darwinian synthesis.

Want a good example? Denis Lamoureux is an evangelical Christian, and also an evolutionary biologist. I'm fairly sure he set out to 'prove evolution wrong' by going and getting a PhD in evolutionary biology at Calgary in Alberta.

He readily dismisses Philip Johnson's arguments about the 'failure of evolution' in one of the essays on his web page. Have a read, will you?

Those that claim that there are 'only a few fossils' of transitional forms are ignoring a world full of evidence that evolution did happen and continues to happen.

I'm curious--can you present one evolutionary biologist who has a PhD in the subject and still thinks that evolution is false? I've seen a lot of engineers and chemists and such who are named as 'authorities', but no evolutionary biologists. Hmmm....

It's interesting how many creationists were ready to believe the Onyate Man hoax. Creationists who resist opening elementray science textbooks were e-mailing the perpetrators of that hoax for details before the hoax was revealed as such.

It is amazing to me that no Creationist organizations have links to people doing actual scientific research on their websites.

 

People have been trying to falsify evolution for 150 years and failing.  What makes you think anyone here will do any better?

Well, so far ive asked for evidence for creationism twice, never to get any real evidence.

This is also the second thread since ive been here asking for the evidence that falsifies evolution. The other thread never got any evidence either.

I have a friend who is a trained scientist and a YEC. A year ago I asked him for one single piece of eveidence for YEC. Despite several conversations since then he hasn't been able to come up with anything.

Actually, he does have a masters in biology and works for a company that does compliance consultation for companies trying to comply with EPA regulations.

I also have another friend (creationist) that has a masters in Molecular Biology from Ohio State University. When she said biological processes don't run uphill I asked her how her daughter developed from a single cell before she was born. Again, no answer.

I still hold that if you have to deny reality to believe in something it's not worth believing in.
