CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am 24 weeks, so i guess it should be coming up fairly quickly, huh? I do go to an OB, but she hasn't let on to a whole lot of whats going on, i love her to death, but it worries me somewhat...

Ask questions. Your OB is probably busy and forgets to keep you up on things. I for one ask lots of questions about everything. They normally want to see me just before or just after lunch because I take more time. Sorry, Doc, but I like to be well-informed.

LOL yes...i tend to have an extremely high anxiety level and when I first found out I was pregnant, I read about three pregnancy books cover to cover and then freaked out over all the possibilities of all the different complications and problems the baby and I might have....so DH banned me from em!!!!

There are two types of GGT's done. One is the extensive one that requires 12 hours fasting, and blood and urine taken over a period of three hours. The other one requires only an hour or so fasting, and usually just a blood and urine. Sometimes this can differ. When I had my first children, GGT's were only run on people who had a history of T2 in their family. With this one, I have discovered that now they are done regardless of your history.
I had two GGT's with each of my earlier pregnancies, one at 18 weeks, and one at 36 weeks. With this one I have managed to get her to hold off doing one until I'm at least 36 weeks, and hopefully I will be able to talk her of doing that one too. All of this and I have never even looked like getting gestational diabetes. Just done because I have large babies.
