I think I agree with Dick Morris's assessment: Bubba was a somewhat moderate liberal, and was interested in "doing what works" and in getting reelected. Dear Leader is a "Troo Believer"; he is committed to his ideological agenda, which is radical-left, and is willing to do whatever it takes to enact it, even if it means he's a one-termer.

Who watches the Glenn Beck show? He brings up some stuff that even Hannity or Rush doesn't cover. Some of it is actually frightening. I suggest people watch it, or TiVo it if you're at work.

Hardly. Even their critics admit clinton and obama are smart people. I don't consider either of them pompous or childish. Beck has that same stopped drinking but never grew up vibe as bush. At least his decisions only affect his family.

Which lends further support to my increasing conviction that genuine communication is virtually impossible. No one can see with another's eyes. I see both of them as bloviators, overly impressed with their own charm and supposed intellect. I see Bubba as "childish" in the incorrigibly horny teenager sense, and Obie as a snooty petulant child.

I listen to Beck on the radio and watch on the rare chance that I am at home when he is on TV. I agree with much of what he says, but I generally see him as a fear monger who is an expert at exploiting the deepest fears of an uncertain, questioning audience to the tune of about ~$25 million a year.

Anyone who can make liberals squirm like him is OK in my book. He is thorough in his research and makes the connections and has the courage of his convictions to follow through....he is the opposite of fringe media (formerly known as mainstream).

September 28th is Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year in Judaism... the Day of Atonement - the day the High Priest would enter the Holy of Holies to atone for the sins of Israel. With the Temple gone it is now a day for personal atonement of sins... NOT for prayer and fasting on behalf of the "Republic."

Like I said - I agree with a lot of what he says... but the man is just a bit off.

You're right, it doesn't really matter what the Jews do on that day - but he is targeting that day b/c of its religious significance. I guess it would be different if it was just an arbitrary day of the year... but don't take a day that many identify with on a much deeper, spiritual level and cheapen in this manner.
