• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Bec, bulimia can result in you having a sore throat and swollen glands amongst other things. Aside from ceasing throwing up, you need to see a doctor or someone who can give you something for the swelling. You can do real permanent damage here sweetie. You need to nip this thing in the butt before this permanent damage really happens. You have such a beautiful face, don't hurt it...

Bec. I'm not here to judge you. I think deep down you know you have a problem. And that's okay. We're here to support you. But you need to reach out for help in real time too.

The answer is yes, you can get sore glands from vomiting. And they will continue to hurt until the vomiting stops. I suggest seeing a doctor or taking something that will help with the pain. The biggest thing I suggest is for you to stop vomiting if it's not involuntary because that will stop your glands from swelling and hurting.

Does you stomach hurt after eating? Are you eating an excessive amount or what other people might call a normal amount? If you stomach hurts after eating a "normal" amount, you should see a doctor.
ummm... it hurts after small amounts... anything... i think it is because from going from not eating anything to having to have whole meals... cant go to doctor...

Hun, you know I think you need to let your parents know what's going on too. They care about you and they want what's best, even if they don't always understand it .

Bec, you need to tell your parents what's going on Hun. They can help, but they can only help if they know what's happening. As Squiggle said before (somewhere, lol) - your parents are trusting you to tell them when you're not feeling great. Only you can let them know .

yes, the only way it will get better is if you tell someone and start trying to get help. once someone knows it pulls you back into the reality that this is a very bad thing to do.

anyway, chic, you are loved! you should not be in pain like this.. please tell someone. if not your parents then a church or school counselor
