I have just seen a trailer (fantastic!!!! just click on it and turn up the volume) for a new film called 'Kingdom of Heaven' .......... it is made by the director of Gladiator !!!!

Does anyone know how true to history it is , it is a story based around the Crusades.

Actually a pretty big chunk of it happened. It's the love story involving Balian and Sybilla that is not true. But the rest did. The characters actually lived a millenia ago and Balian did defend the city of Jerusalem against Saladin and his army. King Baldwin did have leprosy and did practice tolerance.

Yeesh. It's Ridley Scott, all film fans should know who he is. Ya know, the director of, say, Alien, Gladiator, Blade Runner, Black Hawk Down, Matchstick Men, Thelma and Louise, Black Rain, Legend, etc.

But yeah, I hope this turns out good. The supporting cast is fantastic.. Bloom has yet to impress me much though.
