If God can inpsire an ASS to give His word to the prophet Balam, and Saul, His enemy, to prophecy like the prophets, then He can inspire anyone,
I just wanted to repost this particular statement for all to see. It is a Catholic who made this statement. Gee, this is what the rest of us have been telling RCs for years. Is this a sign that one of them finally got what we've been saying?

How ridiculous, someone can sit and bury a thread with page after page after page of posts only attacking their opposition personally and not the topic itself...I have lost alot of respect for you TLF.

Some find that hard to do, favoring strawmen and redherrings instead - must have better flavor than the facts I guess . . . .

This is merely an argument over semanatics, nothing more.

I love your posts chestertonrules!

No, of course he isn't saying this . . but have they done more than the Catholic Church? No, no way.

I've noticed you say "bye" alot, but come back again and again. :)

No, you claimed it was inaccurate . . you never proved it.

Sorry, I can't read posts done up in all bold red. . . . much too hard on the eyes . . . nothing there that I can see .. .

Then why do you do so, especially when you offer no real valid evidence?

Very well done Trento! :)

Not much of a rebuttal . . . . .

Not much of a rebuttal there either . . .

not much of a rebuttal there either . . . just unsupported claims . . . .

Polemical argument . . not much of a rebuttal . . still waiting for something of substance . . . .

You're back . .. that was quick!

I haven't seen much in the way of facts, just mostly unsupported, or poorly supported claims in face of the evidence to the contrary . . . .

just more polemics, nothing much of a rebuttal of substance at all . . . . .

No evidence, just polemics and unsubstantianted claims . . . .

When you have nothing to add just call it unsubstantiated claims and more polemics...

In other words, we're dealing with more of a cheerleader than a serious debater. Debaters offer evidence and logic in order to make their case.
Was it an effort to bury the truth?
Seems to me chesterton had nothing to offer in the way of evidence to support the "known for all ages" claim to universal authority, save a bad translation of Clement that still offered NOTHING with any teeth to it... And then some vaguely defined things from the 3rd century 150 to 200 years after the "keys".

Only the Peter [aka as the Pope] has authority over the RCC.

LLOJ [Gasp!! I brought up the Peter again!! Woe is me!]
Btw, in case any RCs wonder why I say "the Peter" sometimes, is because often times in the greek that is how it is worded.

For example the article "the" is used before "peter" in Matt 16:22. ;)

That was my point regarding most of the responses I have seen to chestertonrules and Trento. . . . . :)

Now that's
an edifying and mature statement

You are familiar with the biblical story of Balam's ass are you not? His ass spoke to him when he beat it after it stopped and would not go forward because of the threatening angel Balam could not see. . .

So God enabled the ass to speak to him His message to Balam . .

You find that story and what it teaches us "immature' and "not edifying"?

That is all I can gather from your words above . . . am I wrong?

So what else is new concerning us "defective" Protestants. :D

Acts 23:14 Who-any toward coming to the Chief-priests and to the Elders say "to-anathema/anaqemati <331> we anathemtize/aneqematisamen <332> (5656) ourselves of no yet nothing to taste till of which we may be killing the Paul.
Reve 22:3 and every anathema/katanaqema <2652> not shall be still. And the throne of the God/YHWH and of the Lamb-kin/Word in Her shall be, and His bond-servants shall be offering divine-service to Him.

Hi Namericanboy!
It was always an encouraging story for me.
I figure if He can use a donkey, then He can
even use me.

Hi Simon. I had read through the entire thread earlier,
and considered posting about the name of the
thread including the word "logic", yet the entire thread
seems to lack just that.

I think you should take this one to the formal
debate folder.
That would weed out the distracting remarks and
maybe could get to pure truth.

ONE other thing I noticed, and that's just how much
i HATE that we have to wear labels.
It seems to influence how we read or perceive the
other's posts.

Truth should be acknowledged no matter who
speaks it.

I've never said otherwise racer. It doesn't, however, change my position on Luther . . . . . . which is what you are refering to.

The argument was never one about inspiration . . . . .

Page after page? I don't know about you, but I am on page 5 . . . . .

I personally find it distracting to see page after page of polemics and unsubstantiated claims in response to Catholic arguments and evidence . . . .

it's probably polemics, but it's not unsubstatiated. One need only read this thread.

I diagree . . I find that facts have been repeatedly ignored and undermined by those engaging in polemics and unsubstantiated claims in response. . . .
