Ghosts are deceiving spirits.
What the difference is between a deceiving spirit and a demon, I don't honestly know, but they do look different in the spirit.
A deceiving spirit is usually white, where as a demon is dark / black. In the verse, "Satan comes as an angel of light" this is the category of spirit that deceiving spirits fall into.
For example, "spirit of fear", or "deceiving spirit"... those things are part of satan's kingdom. In revelation there are also 4 other spirits mentioned, "spirit of anti-Christ", "spirit of war", "spirit of poverty", "spirit of death".
Ghosts themselves would be a false spirit with the intent by satan to spread false doctrines concerning the afterlife. These manner of deceptions have the intent to spread falsities concerning Christ & God.
