Ghost whisperer, jump the sharK?

Ghost whisperer on Friday killed Jim off.
He was shot by a Detective shooting at a shadow in a window, with the rifle clearly poinrted att he roof.

While I accepted GW when they killed Andrea, because the show was about a young couple dealing with her unique ability.
Now they only have Melinda.
The perfect couple has ended, leaving the obvious plot line to turn the
strange friendship between paranormal college team.

If as happily married as they showed, Melinda shouldn't jump into the arms of (whats his name, not the one that can hear ghosts)

At the very least, they should have Melinda get a huge settlement from the police. wrongful death, and the detective should be fired. It was an
obvious wrong time to use deadly force. Even a rookie should have known.
Also the hospital told Melinda they needed to keep him for observation,
the bullet went through his wrist and grazed a rib. You aren't rendered uncontious from a rib being grazed. They made the quick kill with a embolism. Since the rib was grazed, it must have been a embolism from
his wrist injury.
The ending was Jim telling Melinda"I'm Dead. I love you."

It will take alot for me to continue to watch. Clearly this was not one of their best episodes. Unless the actor that played Jim suddenly quit, I see no reason to kill off a main character like this.

Yes, then the previews where she is talking to Jim's ghost... seems like they are trying to kill off the show.

I was not happy. I may watch the rest of the story line may not.

I think you're right, the writer's "jumped the shark".

Oy, so now Jim's spirit is in someone else and apparently during the process now doesn't know who Melinda is. So that makes things even more goofy!

Was at 4h with my daughter last friday, So I didn't see it. My wife told me about it.
Killing him off, then he jumps into the next DB he finds is getting very extreme for believability.

So Jim is in another persons body, Melinda knows who he is, but he doesn't remember who she is or who he was.

They have Jim as another occupation. I think this is a slow way to work him out of the story. I think they were smart enough to know they couldn't kill the main support character without slipping him out slowly. Moving away from paramedic/future Dr, means they don't want him to help her in ghost assisting.
I do still believe my wife is right, one of the new assistants will be moved into the love interest.
Both the audio paranormal guy(hears ghosts) and the former ghost skeptic professor
love helping Melinda, and could easily move on. But they would have jumped the shark had they went into adultery or make the couple break up.
So they killed Jim, and let him linger around.

I think Camryn Manheim and Jamie Kennedy are very under utilized in this show. I still watch it cause for Friday night its one of the few decent choices. My daughter, 16, absolutely loves this show.

I do agree.
They could expand the other characters.
That was a problem they have had since the start,
Jim and Melinda was the only solid characters, The
list of full time characters is little. (Saves on the budget,I guess)

They are dating and experiencing everything again, good and bad.
They haven't jumped the shark but their eyeing the ramp.

I think they could develop her 2 assistants more.(the one in Africa, I forget his name) The one that can hear ghosts is actually building up the character. He is getting almost as much time as everyone else.

It did have the Star trek expectation, the new crew member would be the one to get killed. In GW, the new face has a ghost.

The family and I were upset that Melinda has lied to Jim more then once to cover her secret. Even to the point of stupidity.
No reason she couldn't tell Jim, she was there when they found the college girl. And why didn't they sign in when helping to look for her?

I also wish they(Melinda) would figure out the easy way to talk to ghosts is put an ear piece in her ear, and act like she is talking on the cell phone.
I see people talking to themselves all the time, most of the time, they have an ear piece.

JIm is back on track, They got married, he is on his way to becoming a Dr,
the show was renewed for another season, although I don't like what they did after GW. I loved Flashpoint, and did not like Medium, it was like Ghost whisperer without anything interesting.
With Medium on Cbs, will there be a meeting of MElinda and the Medium?
