  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

funny you should mention these two. ghandi's concepts of eventual human evolution into gods were somewhat inline with hitlers master race idea....

Even if Gandhi had espoused an idea of humans eventually evolving into gods, (he never believed this,) it wouldn't have been anything similar to Hitler's idea of the dominance of the "Aryan" race (it's in quotations because unfortunately, the Aryans don't exist anymore and their closest descendants are not Hitler's people.) Assuming Gandhi believed that humans would evolve into gods, it wouldn't justify the genocide of any race, because he would have believed that all humans would eventually evolve to be that way. He didn't believe in a Master race. That being said, it would just have been another harmless, optimistic belief...Also, I would like to see where you got this idea from.

I think I just posted this:

"Judge not lest you be judged."

The world often takes this verse out of context and uses it to accuse Christians of being "judgmental" when they speak of sin. In the context of the verse Jesus is telling His disciples not to judge one another, something the Bible condemns (Romans 14:10; James 4:11). In Luke 6:41,42 He speaks of seeing a speck in a brother’s eye. In John 7:24 He said, "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." If someone steals, lies, commits adultery or murder, etc., the Christian can make a (righteous) moral judgment and say that the actions were morally wrong, and that these sins will have eternal consequences. Chuck Colson said, "True tolerance is not a total lack of judgment. It’s knowing what should be tolerated—and refusing to tolerate that which shouldn’t."
Hitler's motive was more for the evolution of man into the perfect being, which kind of sounds like...

You're quoting a convict now?

If Hitler had only exterminated his 12 million victims 500 years earlier during the Inquisition. Then his contemporaries would not question whether he was doing God's work as he earned his ticket to heaven.
And there would be High Holy Days dedicated to him, icons in every church, stained glass windows depicting his signature salute. LOL Too funny, thank you for the laugh of the day.

Hi, welcome to the ChristianForums.

You might want to try your introduction again, it needs some work.

Would Hitler go to heaven and Ghandi go to hell?

It is impossible to say who goes where after death.

Hitler was a terrible sinner, and on top of it commited suicide (but suicide does not always amount to mortal sin). His prospects are sure grim. If never repented, there's no chance for him.

Ghandi did great things on Earth. He truly meant and did well. However, he did not accept Christ. Was his not acceptance of Christ due to lack of information and thought on the question or due to conscious refusal of His teachings? That is the important question, which none of us can claim to know the answer to.

Be assured, though, that people who never heard of Christ, or had very narrow and partial access to Him, are not necessarily doomed. For those who are ignorant, salvation through the Holy Spirit is possible.
