So many cool peeps with cool stories yo! If any of you know of a good online resource to learn spanish lemme know, me and my wife decided we wanted to learn it last night, literally, so this thread is clearly a sign from God I expect to be fluent in a week. (har har har)
So about me. Hm. Well... when I was about 12 I began writing and recording my own music, the music sounded like no other music I'd ever heard, I made about 300 songs before I was 21, when I was 16 I heard a voice whisper "someday they will call you Symph" and the voice sounded nice, and I liked the name, so I began to think of myself that way. I was raised christian but... I hadn't connected to the river of life yet. Then when I was in my early 20's I heard a voice again say "Read" and I knew it meant The Bible. I said "Where do I start?" He said "The beginning" I said "Genesis?" He said "YOUR beginning" I said "Matthew?" He said yes.
That day changed my life, cause as I read the words I heard a voice reading them to me, and I suddenly understood the tone the bible was written in. An excited tone, bursting at the seams with good news, sometimes it can even be a bit sarcastic or funny as it points out how silly we all are. So... I became obsessed, my life was reading the word and being FLOORED by it, I became convinced God would talk to me if I showed him how badly I wanted it.
For about a year I prayed on my knees for 10 to 30 minutes a day, telling him things like "You can't convince me you aren't nice and won't talk to me now! I know you are! I'm not gonna stop this until you do!" Not demanding, I was playful, but I was sincere. After a year or so of that, one day he showed up. He gave me a mission, he's been preparing me for that mission, and as of a few weeks ago he told me it was time to begin. Much more I cannot say yet.
I will go ahead and tell you when it comes to controversial issues in the word I am about as far removed from the traditional view as one could be, but for me it still all comes back to Jesus, name above all names, Lord above all Lords, who died for the sins of mankind once and for all, so that we could have direct connection to God by being amazed at this.
My music is hard to describe, so if you don't mind, I'll just share a video. I also post videos on youtube where I read the bible, explain biblical confusions, and be a weirdo for the fun of it sometimes. I like anime, My Little Pony, Classic rock and TONS of other types of music, and I've been married for one year. And I guess, if this isn't too forward, I'll put this in here so you can just SEE what I'm like
