Well, I live in Philly. I am going to Florida to try to start my life anew. I've been struggling up here, trying to live as a woman but being miserable instead. I am going to Florida to try living as a guy again, in a new area (well, I used to live in Florida, but not for many years), and surrounded by old Christian friends (whom I've known since college).

Cool - I love these questionnaire things!!!

First Name: David. I've never had much imagination when it comes to internet screen names, so with me, WYSIWYG.
Age: 34
Height: 6'0"
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Well, my ex- always used to call it "dark blond", but I think that's a contradiction in terms and prefer to stick to "mousy brown".
Location: Chelmsford, Essex, England.
Occupation: Database administrator at the local offices of NHS Direct.
Favourite Colour: Red.
Denomination: Grew up an Anglican, became a Methodist after becoming a Christian, and am now in membership at a newfrontiers church. Theologically I'm a charismatic (semi-)fundamentalist, if there is such a thing, but denominationally I think of myself as non-denominational - we're all Christians, let's dispense with tags that Jesus wouldn't have recognised.
Ministry Involvement: In terms of active church involvement, I'm on the OHP rota! However, my calling is to be an evangelist.
Favourite Food: Loads. My favourite is a sort of soup made of cheese sauce, into which I fling cod, kipper, mackerel, potatoes, peas, and a bit of wholegrain mustard to taste. But I also like Pizza (preferably Pizza Hut margherita), fish & chips, and roast chicken with potatoes, peas and lots of gravy.
Favourite Band: Secular: Pet Shop Boys and All About Eve, but I don't really listen to much secular stuff these days. Christian Contemporary: Phatfish, Matt Redman, delirious?, Cathy Burton, Vicky Beeching, and lots of praise and worship of the Soul Survivor/Vineyard UK/newfrontiers (Stoneleigh) sort of stuff.
Favourite Holiday: I don't have a favourite holiday as such - I just like to spend time away from it all, going for walks or relaxing.
Interesting Factoid #1: I don't own any pets, but I'd like a cat.
Interesting Factoid #2: I'm a big fan of the UK science fiction show Doctor Who. I'd quite like to build a Dalek, when I have the time and resources.
Interesting Factoid #3: At present I don't own a computer, and use my flatmate's instead. However, I'm hoping to be able to save up for a Mac, as I firmly believe they're better than PCs.
Interesting Factoid #4: I have hot pink bath towels with silver threads woven into them and a matching bath mat.
Interesting Factoid #5: I don't like sport at all. I'd rather curl up with a good book, or which a DVD, or listen to some music.
Interesting Factoid #6: I'm a staunch pacifist, and not particularly inclined to patriotism (so guess where I stand on the recent war??!).
Interesting Factoid #7: If you want to know more about me, you can look up my Livejournal through my profile, and from there you can have a look at my webpage.
Interesting Factoid #8: Unfortunately, my marriage fell apart rather spectacularly, and I'm now divorced. I hope and pray that God will bless me with a chance to marry someone else one day.
Interesting Factoid #8: I play the piano and keyboard (fairly well) and guitar (not so well), and write songs as well.
Favourite Bible Verse: Right now, Jeremiah 29:11 - "I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future." Although Romans 5:8 is also important to me.
Bible Translation: I tend to use the NIV. I also like The Message for ease of understanding, but it's not always the best translation.
Favorite Secular Novel: Loads. I read a lot of science fiction, fantasy, and humour, and I think I'd say that Douglas Adams' The Restaurant at the End of the Universe or Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman's Good Omens are my favourites.
Favourite TV Programme: Doctor Who.
Favourite Film: The Back to the Future series.

David.

Nice... Will your Dalek say "I OBEY" when you ask it to bring you a beer or answer the door or something?
Well, if it did all of that without me getting inside it, I'd be worried!!! It's just a wild idea at the moment, but quite a few other people have made life size Daleks that they take along to conventions and that sort of thing, and it just sort of occurred to me that I could do it too. The cost tends towards the £800 - £1000 mark, which is not too bad considering it'd be spread out over a year or so. The real hassle is it would (most likely, if I'm to do a good job) involve learning to model in fibreglass, which is a completely unknown territory for me!

But at least it'll keep me off the streets...

Thanks! Good to be here.

David.
