Get rid of dating web site advertisments?

It just seems a little innapropriate to me to see a giant dating web site ad every time i come here on the top of the home page... and the bikini and hip-hop yoga ads... just some food for thought

I'm logged in as a supporter, so I don't see ads. The site probably doesn't have direct control over the ad content.

Sometimes I think they know we aren't going to click on the ads, I know I never did, and they only put them there for the purpose of irritation.

Well if you think about websites, they cost money to maintain. And almost all sites maintain costs by having ads. If not for ads most of the web probably wouldn't exist unless they all offered membership programs.

Haha no I don't go to dating sites. Haven't seen it today or yesterday, there's 2 giant ads with seductive pictures, i kept seeing it over and over.

no it's not christian dating sites haha. just thought i would mention it for the integrity of the site.

I apologize, unfortunately however, CF has little control over the advertising seen on the forum due to the number of networks that advertise here. While staff does their best to monitor, it is still impossible to filter ads until after they are seen. If you see an ad that slipped through and is objectionable, please note which network the ad is coming from by rolling over the ad with your mouse and noting the URL in the status bar at the bottom. Copy the destination URL by right clicking and selecting "copy link address", then post this information in a Contact Us Form. Staff will then quickly locate the ad and remove it. Without the URL link, we would literally be searching through thousands of ads manually.

I'm getting the same at the moment and always thought it was my browsing history before. Definitely not this time. I don't think this one is linked.This is also the header ad and as it's on my mobile I'm unable to get a URL. Ignoring it is fine for me tho being female and it being a woman on the ad

EDIT found out how... long click says copy link address... I assume that means the same thing.
