It’s a bold statement to step back from the US, but I think it’s for the best.

The US is supposed to be an ally, and in the first major European conflict since WW2, it’s trying to sell the rug from beneath Ukraine’s feet.

It’s clear that the US doesn’t care about Europe or global stability under the current administration, it’s only interested in what can be done for the US and those in power.

No issue at all with them choosing a more isolationist approach, but that’s not entirely true when their isolationism will likely only extend to helping others, and less so about getting what it wants.

This will be an interesting moment for the UK as it’s the perfect opportunity to get a seat back in the economic partnership of the EU without the freedom of movement and other baggage. Europe needs to make better use of the economies on its doorstep.

Europe is mad because President Trump said no more "Free Ride" the US pays 80% of the NATO alliance bills, the US has a $100 Billion annual trade deficit with Germany and its going to stop under Trump, of course Germany is upset that Trump is making them pay their NATO Bill's and he's stopping the trade imbalance

"America First" sounds great to me, I live in the good Ole USA, can't wait to see the price of German vehicles double and sit in dealer parking lots not selling, it's about time!

I just voted in the German election 2025. The stakes are quite big right now with concerns about the economy, migration, the Ukraine war, and Donald Trump looming large.

One thing will be a soon reality, president Trump is going to make Germany and the EU pay their share for NATO and other military assistance provided by the US, and he's going to stop the unfavorable trade deficit with Germany and the EU as a whole, about time

Many agree that many NATO countries haven't met their pledged commitments in spending, but that's a far cry from him throwing Ukraine under the bus and repeating Russian propaganda, refusing to acknowledge the clear aggressor in this war when asked etc.

It appears your unaware of the history of conflict in Ukraine, a little refresher might help

Barrack Obama, Joe Biden, and their secretary of state Victoria Nuland & Ukraine Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt started the conflict in Ukraine, they planned the overthrow of its government in the Maidan Coup Feb 2014 and installed their puppet government, Obama and his Admin were the aggressors against Russia starting the conflict, and at the end of the 4:19 conversation below "Bidens Willing"!
