CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Wow! There are quite a few people from Georgia on here. I don't see too many people from the Athens Area (or didn't when I stopped reading on page 11). I'm from Winder. Somewhat out in the middle of nowhere, but there are smaller towns close to us. It's not fun when the best place to go in the whole town is the Super Wal-Mart.
I'm glad to see that I am not the only Georgia person on here.
It's nice seeing more.

Used to live in the Athens area myself -- then I moved slightly northeast, to Royston before I headed down to Duluth. But I know where Winder is!

Hello all! Me, I'm pretty new to this message board.
I live in Georgia! I was smack dab in the middle of the action during the G-8 summit. I live on St. Simons Island. A nice little island. I love the beach at night when the moon is full. The most beautiful sight you have ever seen.
We have a lot of tourists and partiers.
Cant wait for the fourth of July, they shoot fireworks over the beach, awesome!
And in November we are having a free concert on Jekyl Island, Scott Krippayne is going to be there. He is one of my favorite artists. They are going to have several artists there from what I heard on the radio. Should be fun, right on the beach.

Im Richard im from Buena VIsta, Georgia born and raised. I dont live in the buena vista city limits though we live in the boonies(woods) in a nice house my dad built. I cant believe how many Georgians there are on cf... Well guys got to go. Nice talkin to yall.

sinnersaved did they go to Epworth by the Sea? It's a really nice place. I used to go there and walk my dog. I like the little christian store they have inside.

Yes, they are at Epworth. We have 9 youth, 2 adults, and one of our college kids is a counselor there. Epworth is a beautiful place. I plan to be there with my family on Labor Day weekend.
