CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have a friend from Locust Grove and he's a mental health professional too. He used to work with me. Nice guy. You might need to look him up. LOL
Oh, we both are transplants. I am from Niagara Falls, New York, and my wife is from Gadsden, Alabama. I've been Southernized. I was just told last week that I had a Southern Accent by someone from Connecticut.
When I was stationed in Valdosta, I was told that when they find a smart Yankee in the South, they say "Welcome Home Brother." It sure is great to be home.

I am a full-blooded Georgian and my wife is full-blooded Texan....and we are glad to be back in Georgia. Nothing better than REAL southerns.
Texans are not southerns they are texans and it is very different....they are a close cousin to us though
