That's Weaver D's over in Athens. Harold's is the best BBQ in Atlanta. They have a spin-off resturant in Jonesboro on Hwy. 54.

Weaver D's - Athens "Automatic for the People" is the slogan of Dexter Weaver; favorite sons REM borrowed the slogan for one of their best-selling albums; their rambling mission statement here is "to provide delicious fine foods at an optimally set price that is pleasing to both the customer and us. Customer service is of utmost importance, as we strive to remain "Automatic for the People", meaning that for the customers, we will always be ready, quick, and efficient."

Harold's BBQ - Atlanta
Located a hop, skip, and a jump from the state pen; but don't let the neighborhood or bars on the window scare you off; Harold Hembree serves up some killer BBQ here; religious stickers on the wall; no beer sold here; sliced pork BBQ is offered up on white toast; lunch and dinner, Monday - Saturday; closed Sunday.

I had actually gotten confused. They sang "Walter's Theme" about Walter's BarBQue on the Dead Letter Office album and even made a video at Walter's. On the same album was a song "Voice of Harold", but it wasn't about barbeque, it was about a gospel singer.

It's just on the edge of a beautiful dream, where twinkling new sunshine wakens sleepy head jonquils and plum tree blossoms beneath evergreen pines in the cool gentle breeze of a warm winter's day.

that's purty.

Our English resonates with Renaissance and elegant enlightenment. It harkens back as a variant of the Elizabethan English of Shakespeare, Chaucer, Bunyan, and such other treasures as the Geneva and King James Bibles. English accounted by all to be the highest expression reached by the English tongue.

Southern discourse is far more honest, down to earth, and takes more intelligence in understanding than the pretentious, yankeefied inventions one finds in Webster’s Dictionary – codified, standardized, & homogenized to its “efficient” new way.

Yep, I had noticed since we got BBC America on the satellite that our speech has more in common with some of the folks from the British Isles than with someone from New Yahk or Bahsten.
