  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Election investigations have been delayed, Georgia is just getting around to examining potential illegalities in the last election. What is your state doing?

Georgia Opens Investigation into Possible Illegal Ballot Harvesting in 2020 Election - Tennessee Star
My state prosecuted GOP members for their actions in election fraud, and even so GOP politicians are continually trying to pretend the risk to elections is coming from elsewhere.

Seems like their story doesn't match the facts, as is the case with a a lot of the right-wing claims about election security.

MO was strongly Democratic for years. But Republicans have dominated the legislature and governor's office for the last 15 years or so. Donald Trump won our 10 EVs by a 15% margin. The only election-related issue our legislature is considering is how to make it harder for voters to pass amendments to the state constitution. Which the voters did in a special election last summer that required the state to expand Medicaid coverage in accordance with ACA. Anything associated with Pres. Obama or ACA is anathema to conservatives. But they lost this battle.

Still, nearly all MO Republicans are firm Trumpists. (An example is Josh Hawley, our lamentable excuse for a Senator who gained notoriety for his first-in-the-air salute to the Jan. 6 mob. The only salute he deserves is the middle finger salute.) If Harry Truman returned to life and could see what's happened to politics in his state, he'd die a second time.

Nothing much. Vote fraud has been discovered in a number of states, some convictions have occurred, tens of thousands of votes have been discovered to have been cast by non-voters, but of course that's not important. Nor is the attempt to make permanent the mailing of millions of ballots to unknown persons each election and counting them without knowing who filled them out. It's all okay because "voter suppression," you know.

Yep, for example in my state Donald won by a small margin, and the GOP is doing nothing to investigate if his victory was due to fraud or not.

All you're showing by that point is that they are not striking out in all direction and making irresponsible charges.

Doing that, if it were the case, would strengthen the argument that the GOP was just trying to find something where they didn't have any reason to suspect it was there.

In reality, the GOP has tried for an investigation in only the states where the evidence is the strongest and appears to have cost their candidate the victory.

I mentioned them doing that specifically in my previous post.

At least one of the two, given the total lack of evidence of widespread voter fraud in the last election.

Tens of thousands of votes have been discovered to have been cast by non-voters?? Citation needed. Make sure that it is a reliable source.

And to the OP. If you want to convince anyone that has not already swallowed the lies of Trump you need to find a better source. Your story may have bit of truth to it, but if you have to go to a not all that reliable out of state far right "newspaper" it is not a good sign:

come on now do you truly expect CNN or the NYT to post anything that is in anyway contrary to the desires, needs, wants, and narrative of the liberal agenda? Since you are consistently challenging sources why dont you list those sources that are acceptable to you and we will use it when we are trying to deal with you?

CNN on air is not the best source, but it is still far superior to the source that the OP used. The New York Times on the other hand has a high reliability even though it is left center.

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/new-york-times/

Of course if those are not good enough the OP could always go with Reuters or the AP. In fact anything within the green rectangle of the chart below would be good enough.

Please note, the New York Times is in the green rectangle. CNN is not. Though CNN is still barely within the fair interpretation of the news.

have you considered that the people who made that graphic might have some bias of their own. NYT has lost a good deal of credibility as has CNN

I sincerely doubt that. The events that you probably are thinking of have probably been taken into consideration. By the way, CNN used to be quite a bit higher in its rankings. That is why I did not defend them as a source. And as I said, the AP, Reuters, and various other sources are still there. If this was an accurate story it should be in at least one of those.

very true but I think that we all know that they will only report it if they absolutely are forced to because it does not fit the liberal agenda. What is funny is that you totally disregard the fact that the liberal media is liberal.
